ABIS Aerogel powder is a porous silica (SiO2) powder material with nano-chain and tortuous structure. The pore size can range from a few nanometers to several hundreds of nanometers. Air accounts for more than 85% of the total volume. Silica aerogel is the material with unusual properties such as hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity, high porosity, high specific surface area, low thermal conductivity, low sound velocity, and low dielectric constant, making it an excellent insulation material for temperature, moisture, and sound.
The particle size of Aerogel powder is controlled between several microns and tens of microns, and it can be mixed with various resins and fiber materials to form functional composite materials, which can provide the benefits of light weight, heat and sound insulation. The largest market share of aerogel is in the oil and gas industry, followed by the application of industrial thermal insulation materials and the construction industry. Aerogel is an ideal substitute for traditional thermal insulation materials. In addition, it also apply to the fields of cold chain, textile, electronics, automotive, aerospace and other industries.

Aerogel Application
ABIS Aerogel is composed of nano-particles that are cross-linked with each other. The nano-pore and tortuous structure between the particles is filled with air, and becomes a porous material with extremely low density. The properties of Aerogel such as low thermal conductivity and low dielectric constant can be used as a additive to mix with various resins and composite materials for the enhancement of light weight, thermal or sound insulation. It can be used in building construction, performance coating, petrochemical, textile, electronics, automobiles, aerospace, etc.
